Save an image from almost any website today and you'll likely get a .webp file. It's a great format for the web, but older apps, some print shops and many upload forms still don't accept it.
Why websites use WebP
WebP files are typically 25–35% smaller than JPGs at the same quality and support transparency like PNG. Smaller images mean faster pages, so most sites and CDNs serve WebP automatically.
Convert WebP to PNG or JPG
- Open the image converter and drop your WebP files.
- Choose PNG to keep transparency, or JPG for the smallest widely-supported file.
- Click Convert, then download individually or as a ZIP.
The converter also handles AVIF, GIF, BMP and iPhone HEIC files.
